The Beginnings

Hello Dear Family,

I want to share with you how this family reunion all started.... In was in March , 2005, when
Tommy Link, son of Tom and Cheryl Link, came and ask me if we could have a family reunion.
I told him it was fine with me, so he said would you start one? I ask him why he would want to
do that . His answer was I would like to get to know my family before they die... You see we were at the showing of his Grandmother, Viola Link when he ask ..... So the Gass/ Link Reunion was born.

The first reunion was held in September, 2005, at Milligan Park, in Crawfordsville, Indiana. We had in attendance 37 people . Three members from the John and Nellie Gass side, Edna, Ken, and Vickie.. Three from the Sam and Viola Link side, James, Gerald, and Tom.. The families of each was there also... It was a beautiful day out with sunshine and high temps of about 82 degrees. Everyone there said they would like to have another one the next year so it was decided to do so and it was to be held in October, 2006, at Bobcat Park in Marshall, Indiana.
The first ever reunion had people coming in from California, Jakarta, Indonesia, and all around Indiana.. It was a good time for all who attended.
