Hello Dear Family,
I thought I would just update you on some things I have learned about our family....
On September 5, 2011, Gerald Wayne Link had an accident on his scooter.. He was taken to hospital in Indianapolis in very serious condition. He had a lot of damage on his left side, and he also damaged his eye. As of this date, I believe he is recovering very nicely.
On September 7, 2011, Vickie Gass Bollman had a accident on her scooter... She was in hospital for just a couple of days. She also damaged her left side... broken arm and knee. She too is recovered very well..
On February 14, 2012 , Edna Gass Newkirk, fell and broke her ribs... she is recovering also.... She and her husband Gerald are moving to a new home in Houston, Texas. We wish them well.
Have met a lot of new CHOATE cousins online this past year.. Have invited them to the reunion , lets hope that they will come....
Luanne Link Blankenship has a new grandson, from Daughter Kim.

The Beginnings
Hello Dear Family,
I want to share with you how this family reunion all started.... In was in March , 2005, when
Tommy Link, son of Tom and Cheryl Link, came and ask me if we could have a family reunion.
I told him it was fine with me, so he said would you start one? I ask him why he would want to
do that . His answer was I would like to get to know my family before they die... You see we were at the showing of his Grandmother, Viola Link when he ask ..... So the Gass/ Link Reunion was born.
The first reunion was held in September, 2005, at Milligan Park, in Crawfordsville, Indiana. We had in attendance 37 people . Three members from the John and Nellie Gass side, Edna, Ken, and Vickie.. Three from the Sam and Viola Link side, James, Gerald, and Tom.. The families of each was there also... It was a beautiful day out with sunshine and high temps of about 82 degrees. Everyone there said they would like to have another one the next year so it was decided to do so and it was to be held in October, 2006, at Bobcat Park in Marshall, Indiana.
The first ever reunion had people coming in from California, Jakarta, Indonesia, and all around Indiana.. It was a good time for all who attended.
